Waziristan Institute of Technical Education (WITE)
Apart from conventional education there is a dire need to promote and encourage technical education for the youth. Existing technical institute must be strengthened and expanded. Existing incomplete building of Vocational Training Institute is being completed, furnished and equipment to start the envisioned “Waziristan Institute of Technical Education". The earth breaking ceremony for re-construction and completion of the project has been performed by COAS on 23 Jun 2011.

The next batch of 81 students are under training since 1st Jun 2012 for a six months progm (5 classes of technical training, including training of heavy machinery). Temporary Shifting of WITE to Sararogha Cadet College was temporarily started in WITE building in Chagmalai. In order to contonue with WITE classes and benefit more of locals, the institute has been temporarily shifted in the building of Model School Sararogha. The second batch of WITE in new location is in progress from Jun 2012. |
